Project Overview - Sports Storytelling, Documentary

North South Basketball Tournament brings together some of the top high school basketball asian american players from across the Bay Area for a weekend centered around competition, culture and community.

Rather than creating a traditional event recap, I wanted to document the people behind the tournament and explore what it meant for the players and coaches to represent their teams, communities and culture.

Through interviews and observational footage throughout the weekend, REPRESENT tells a story that goes beyond what happened on the court.
